West Coast Language Centre

The Far West Aboriginal Language Centre is currently working with communities producing books and CD for education use.

Whats happening with langauges:
To the knowledge of the far west coast people there are no known speakers of the mirning language in South Australia who survive today. At the language centre we hold historical documentation on the mirning language which is a vital resource for the people of the Far West Coast, and who has connections with the mirning tribe from the nullabor region.

We hope that someday the younger generations who has connections to the language, will someday once again speak the language fluently.
